Why D3 Nonstick

Thin nonstick pans run hot in the center and warp over time. D3 Nonstick puts the coating on a bonded tri-ply body, so the heat stays even and the pan stays flat.

• Tri-ply under a nonstick surface. All-Clad bonds an aluminum core between two layers of stainless steel to the rim, then adds a PTFE nonstick coating, so you get even heat and easy release in one pan.
• Cook with less fat. The nonstick surface lets eggs, fish and pancakes release with only a little oil or butter.

1. Wash before first use. Wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry before the first cook.
2. Keep the heat low to medium. Nonstick does not need high heat. Preheat briefly with a little oil or butter rather than an aerosol spray, which can build up on the coating.
3. Use soft utensils. Silicone, nylon or wooden tools protect the coating. All-Clad recommends against metal utensils on nonstick.
4. Hand wash. Let the pan cool, then wash with soap and a soft sponge. All-Clad recommends hand washing to keep nonstick looking new.
